I want to make a paypal, No credit card though.

I want to setup a paypal account. I would very much like to have an electronic account to keep my money in, however, no credit card.

My brother strongly recommends me not getting a credit card because if you can live without one, your more financially better off.

I just turned 18 also, so I'm trying to educate myself on these many things I know little about so any extra tips would help.

You can link your Paypal account directly to your checking account. You don't need a credit card.

you dont need a credit card you can just go to the bank open a checking account then use a debit card as well

You can have pay pal take a payment directly from your bank account or you can use a credit card. The problem is not with the credit card but the credit holder. If you have self control and never charge more than you can pay off when the payment is due, there is no problem with having a credit card.

The problem is that it is so easy to use a credit and run up high debts, if you do not pay it off each month, you could end up with thousands of dollars you cannot pay. It takes a lot of discipline to have a credit card.

But contact pay pal if you just want your money drafted from your bank  account and not have a credit card. It is up to each individual. Credit cards can be dangerous in the hands of irresponsible consumers.
