Question:

I want to make a sauce for some baked potatoes and chicken schnitzel

the ingrediants i have to use are

sour cream

sweet paprika

diced tomatoes

beef stock

salt peper

green/spanish onion

no fresh herbs

various seasonings like cajun, lemon& herb, tandoori

garlic

if anyone could think of something, can you please suggest something? add stuff if you need to.

  1. If you have the option to get some button mushrooms, get some and sautee them off in some butter until soft. Take the beef stock and add some salt, pepper and garlic to the stock and let simmer for a few minutes.  If you have some sort of fortified wine like cooking sherry, madeira, or marsala, I would add that as well, along with some of the diced tomatoes.  Just before you serve it, mix in some of the sour cream to lighten it, add a creaminess, and thicken it slightly.
