  1. That will work just fine! I recommend not putting them into the fridge..... chocolate will sweat in the fridge. They will be just fine out of the fridge.

  2. You can make them tonight if you want.  You can also thin the chocolate a little bit with some vegetable oil.  This will give the chocolate a nice shiny look.  I would put in fridge for a little bit without plastic...just long enough for the chocolate to harden a bit.  Then cover.  I love choc. cov. strawberries.  Enjoy!

  3. i make them often. i use 1 bag of chocolate chips and melt them in a bowl over a pot of boiling water(microwave can burn it easily)then i dip the berriers while chocolate is hot, then place on baking dish lined with wax paper and store in fridge loosely covered. i make the day i want them but always have some left over and the next day they have condensation on them - they taste the same but they do collect moisture.

make them around 11am the day of for best results

  4. Hi, You can make them today. Was, dry Then dip & place on a wax paper cookie sheet. If you want to cover them lightly is ok too. you might want to double dip them By using a white chocolate. like 1/2 & 1/2. oe just a double dip chocolate.  Great part food anytime.

  5. If you have time tomorrow morning, I recommend that you make them tomorrow as it takes only about 30 mins to set. Keeping them overnight will shrivel the berries a little.

And yes, just dip them in molten chocolate (recipe below) and set aside on parchment paper to cool and set, then refrigerate. No need to cover it with plastic. But refrigerate it for about 30 mins or so, then once the chocolate has set, you can transfer them to a covered box, or place ina container and use cling-wrap to store them in the fridge till its time to serve. This would keep them freshand not shrivelled.

You can even drizzle some white chocolate over it; use a fork, dip it in chocolate, then make marks on strawberries dipped in dark chocolate, after the former has cooled.

Here's a method to melt Chocolate:

  6. Make them tomorrow or they will get soggy.  The dove chocolate should work.  I have used Bakers semi-sweet chocolate baking squared before and a local store sells French Vanilla Dark Chocolate in large squares, it is awesome.  Some chefs swear by Lindt brand - 70% cocoa.  Just FYI.  I love chocolate covered strawberries, yummy.  Going to make some tonight.  Oh don't cover with plastic until the chocolate has been in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.  I made that mistake one:-)
