I am 28 and my younger brother is turning 27 at the end of this month. I want to get him a cool gift, but a) i don't have a ton of money to spend and b) i would love to make him something really special/personable, and I think he would really appreciate it. Any thoughts or ideas for crafty stuff to make for guys? THANK YOU!

  1. I think this depends on his interests.. what is he into? Also what you are into craftwise, you know?

or you could make him a little special scrapbook of just you two if you are close, like little kid pictures, something he can look at and think of you guys. <shrug> all siblings love eventually to look back and smile about the good old days. hehe

  2. how about sewing little bean bags and filling them with beans as juggling bags?  cut your fabric approx 3" by 4" and use 1/4" seams.  don't fill them too full or they will be hard to catch.

then you can go online and print off instructions on how to juggle.

i did this for my brother in law one year when we were broke and he loved it.  i used fabric that had been his grandmother's.  you could use a fabric that had "special meaning" (mom's old kitchen apron, a cool shirt he always loved but is too ratty to wear now, old jeans.  use your imagination).  i made a matching drawstring bag to keep the juggle bags in.
