I want to make lasagne to bring to a get together. Can I make it in a foil dish? I know tomatoes are acidic.?

Will the tomato sauce be effecting the foil container?

  1. Just don't store it for too long in the foil pan.  Overnight is ok, but a few days may be a problem.


  2. no, you can make it in foil, it's not a problem.

  3. Check any supermarket.  Almost all commercial lasagne is made in a foil pan.  So-Yes, go for it.

  4. You can buy foil baking pans, some even come with a wire carry grip. You can make the lasagna in there.

  5. Using a foil dish is a good idea because you will not have to transfer the dish home. When my husband and I were first married he worked for an Italian company that made pizza's and both large and small pans of lasagna. They put them in the foil pans and they had a cardboard cover that you bent the sides down on. They were sooooo good and home made by two little old ladies and my husband made the sauce. They ended up selling this company to conagra. So yes you can make your lasagna in a foil container.  

  6. hmm... i remember my uncle telling me something about this. but im not exactly sure what he said. im sure it would be fine though. cuz stoufer lasagna is made out of foil lol. you could just bring one of those =]
