You mean a floor plan? The easiest way is to start by measuring each and every room, hallway and closet and cut proportionate squares for each one (don't forget to allow a little extra for the thickness of the walls).

Then put it together like a jigsaw puzzle.

You measure all the walls, the distance from corners to windows, doors....lots and lots and lots of measurements.

Then you painstakingly scale all those measurements to your drawing, using, for example 1/2 inch on paper for every foot of the house.  In other words, a wall that is 20 feet long, would be 10 inches on your paper.  you can use whatever scale you want.

If you're not trying to make an exact copy, then just draw an approximation free-hand

It takes a long time. But I am also doing that right now, and using an easy architecture program called "3D Home Architect Design Deluxe 8"

I HIGHLY reccommend this program for what you are doing.  You can also add furniture, electrical, and plumbing if you want to go that advanced.  It creates a 3D design of whatever you put into it.

No sure why you want a map of your house, unless you get lost alot going to the bathroom or to the basement.
