So how do I work towards that? Right now, I'm planning to do it as something on the side in the future, but I'm hoping to get serious about it when I'm good. Right now, I'm trying to learn how to draw off internet tutorials, but are there any schools I could go to later on that would help me? Are there any other things I should learn to do besides my hand-drawn art? I'm only 16, so I've got some time before any of this can even happen, but I wouldn't mind a good heads up. This thing I'm working on is really important to me for personal reasons, and I'll definitely regret it if I can never make something more out of it than some badly drawn panels in a notebook.

  1. Well, one of the best art schools in America is RISD (Rhode Island School of Design, it's in Providence) so maybe you should go there for lessons. =) I think theres a college or school there too or something. Maybe if you're good enough, you can enroll. =3 But that's only if you live anywhere close there.

But umm.. you're also going to have submit your ideas to an editor or someone to get it approved and distrubuted.

Hope that helped! I'm not sure if I can offer any more then that.

  2. You need to eventually find a publisher who can help distribute
