  1. Greetings,

Here is some advice you should really take to heart.

First, recording studios are very expensive to build.  Even a tiny home studio can easily cost you $20,000.  Next, it will take years to learn to use professional recording gear properly and much longer if you try to teach it all to yourself.

    The solution:

Use the space your father gave you to set up a small work bench.  Learn to solder, fix small electronics, troubleshoot audio gear, and build linear power supplies.

This is the knowledge you use to bargain your way into an internship at a real recording studio.  People constantly call me for internships but they never have any practical skills I can use.  Learn to recap a board and build cables and watch the doors fly open for you.

Finally, it isn't like you will have to learn anything extra.  If you want to own a studio, you have to know those things anyways.  Vintage gear requires almost constant maintenance.

You could ignore this advice, purchase a bunch of c**p made in China, and make unlistenable recordings too.  The choice is up to you.

    Good Luck
