I want to make my passport but i donot know whom to contact?

actually i want know some agency so that i cud get my passport made quickly ,plz advice I AM FROM NORTHEN INDIA

u could go to passport office or go to airport for enquiry about this matter

You need to get in touch with your Regional Passport Office (RPO), they are located in every part of India. For nearest location and more details you may visit http://passport.nic.in

It is not suggested to contact any agent for getting your passport, because doing it yourself will not take much of your time. You may download the form from website fill that up attach withe necessary documents and just for once visit the RPO and submit the form. That's it.

There is another scheme Thakkal scheme,you have to appear in person with the above documents and 2500 Rs fee.You have to get the pre verification certificate from the police department

  the passport applications re also available in post-offices.You can submit the forms to them also.

the Indian embassy does give a same day passport for a :

PASSPORT / MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES

A passport can be issued on the same day, if deposited at the Consular Counter by paying # additional USD $90 # subject to the satisfaction of the Consular Officer only. This service is not available for passport applications/ documents sent in mail.

ps:  an agency will make you pay a big fee as well , so you might as well go to your embassy and get it the same day if you have all ready when getting there

NOTE :

c) In cases, where the passport has already expired beyond a period of one year, the Applicant should submit an affidavit (see Annexure) and may have to appear personally before the Consular Officer;

(d) Two proofs of residence/mailing address in USA (photocopy of Driving license/ Lease agreement/ Utility Bills etc.);

(e) Alien Status (photocopy of US Visa/Green Card/ Work authorization card);

(f) Current Passport;

(g) Proper Fee (see fee schedule for details)

(h) Applicants for a new passport or additional booklet are required to submit a photocopy of marriage certificate, in case, the name of their spouse have not been included in their respective passports.

If the application is found to be in order and no prior reference is required to be made to the original Passport Issuing Authority, a new passport will be issued within 5 working/business days from the date of receipt of the application.

EXTENSION OF SHORT VALIDITY PASSPORT

In cases, where the passport has been issued valid for one year or for a limited period a passport can be extended up to the normal validity of 10 years. For this, " Application Form for Extension of Short Validity Passport”, along with two photographs should be submitted. In such cases, the validity will be extended only on receipt of clearance from the original Passport Issuing Authority. No fee is required in this case except for a $20 as reference charges and the mailing charges. Applicants should make enquiries only after thirty days from the date of submission of the application
