I want to make new friends at my highschool?

I want to make new and better friends but I have been in the district for a very long time so everyone knows who I am already. I dont necessarily want to be popular but im not a new kid so i cant go to random people and be super friendly and try to be their friend cause i've been in the district for a while

join clubs,after school programs. get more involved with school activities..rallies?

There was one kid i saw everyday but we didnt become friends until he started talking to me.

Just because you've been in the district for so long doesn't mean you can't go up to people and talk to them. That's the only way you'll make new friends; by approaching people you want to talk to and just conversing with them. Friends don't just magically appear; you have to work to make them, and by work I mean approaching and chatting.
