It's cheaper and much safer to buy the ready-made, certified and approved power winch in a hardware store. They usually have 250/500 kg SWL (safe working load) and the safety features required by local laws.

The rest depends on what you want o use it for.

For a 100 kg SWL, you'd be better off with a hand-powered one (double-chain block or similar device).
