  1. It is quite rare for Australian companies to sponsor immigrants as it is difficult for them, they have to demonstrate to the Immigration Department that they can't employ somebody locally to do the job.

You're much better off applying for jobs without sponsorship. Where to look for jobs depends on your skill, however a good place to start is in www.seek.com.au or www.careerone.com.au, if you want you can register on these sites as a job seeker, or simply look for jobs to apply for.  Some industries employ their professionals and skilled workers through trade magazines etc instead of general job advertising, so if that is the case contact the relevant association to get the details as to where to find employment.

  2. You should contact companies in your line of work and submit your resume to them. I doubt if a migration agent would be worth what it would cost.

On the following page is a link to a database that matches vacancies to skilled workers, perhaps that may help:

    http://www.immi.gov.au/employers/index.h...

  3. Dont go to a migration agent as they will charge you. Go to your local consulate and ask them requirements for a skilled sponsored migrant. They should have all the information you need and will also be able to tell you if your skill is  required  in Australia.Good Luck.

  4. I suggest you find a migration agent.

Or use a working holiday VISA first and prospect for a job.
