  1. If you are coming here for a holiday (vacation) you can stay for a maximum of 6 months.  If you want to move here permanently you will have to prove that you have a skill which is in high demand here, have a shed load of money to invest, or be able to gain enough points with your qualifications etc to be able to come here on our "new" points system...if you can't do that then you may as well forget it because the only people who can just walk into this country and take up residence and get a job are those from the EEA (European Economic Area)!

    Doesn't sound fair but we would have the same problems trying to work/live in the US

  3. Be aware that it is bloody expensive over here so fetch plenty of cash, apart from the expence the UK is a great place to live so enjoy your stay.

  4. Don't know if you have it in America but we have the smoking ban in public places...

    Also we ask where the 'toilet' is not the 'bathroom' :P
