If you are old enough then why not move out & either buy or rent a home of your own, i don't think you will be able to persuade your parents to move.

Finish school, get a job, and buy any house you want. If you're too young to do that, than you're too young to complain about the house your parents have chosen to live in.

Sorry sweetie, but when you're an adult it's not as simple as just picking any pretty house you want and buying it. It's EXTREMELY complicated and when you're older, you'll understand.

But you can try what I did when I was younger- bargain with them! "If I make straight A's, can I get a new cell phone?" That only works with smaller stuff, not a whole house!

Well, the question has to be asked, why do you want to move? You need to give a great reason. Its much easier for children to up and move, but parents have a lot more ties/responsibilities like work etc.

Moving involves finding a new job, and all the costs associated with moving, which can add up to many thousands of pounds. If you can persuade them your reason is that important then they just might, but its an awful lot to ask of them.

Unless you are going to pay for the new house, it's not your call.  You would need to have an overpowering reason to offer your parents, not just "I want to move houses so much."

You did not say if they rent or own.  Selling is not easy at this time.  Finding a good neighborhood is not always a breeze either.  A lot is involved in making a move.  Finances is one of them. There is a lot you are not aware of in the Real Estate and Mortgage business and it just may not be a possibility for them right now.  Persuading them may be like trying to pull teeth if they are not explaining to you the reasons they can't or won't move.
