ok so heres the deal. im a single mother. i have four kids and one is in college. i can easily pay for the 610,000 but i would die to buy it for 425,000 because my life long dream has been to donate 85,000 to the salvation army.

my kids are still in school and they want to finish the school year.

i still need to sell my house which needs some improvements and still needs to be put on the market.

i know the house will never sell becasue its overpriced by about $100,000.

so my question is how will i ever talk them down to the price i need?

  1. First, forget the salvation army; you need the money more than they do.

Second, talk to your realtor and have them give a counter offer and negotiate from that way.

  2. why donate to the salvation army? they have one of the highest non-charitable budget meaning they spend a lot of money to manage the orgnization and spend money on things other than help others.

if you really want to donate money look into a smaller organization tht is often overlooked like a local community center for kids/teens or a local theatre they need it more than the salvation army.

  3. just try

  4. That is ok!

  5. Get a real estate agent

  6. First of all, drop the price of your home dummy.  If your motivated then you will have no problem doing this.  Second, nobody is going to drop the price of their home almost $200,000.  Finally, why is your lifelong dream to donate $85,000 to Salvation Army, give them $20 and call it a day.  Lady, you sound like a semi smart lady and I say that liberally.  Pull your head out of your pooter and just have s*x with the guy who owns the home, he may sell it to you for less then.

  7. Please say it's in Hawai'i or honestly, it's not worth it.

But if you have your heart set on living in this house, then just make your offer, no amount of talking will lower any house 200k.

  8. They would have to come down almost $200,00 in the price. Give them an offer, but they would have to be desperate to accept it.

  9. first thing you need to do is get an appraisal done, that way you would know the real house value.
