  1. Depends what kind of thermostat you have. There are ones where you push buttons, ones that you move the switch,etc....


  2. You should really leave it alone. It is connected to your furnace. If you move it you would have a really tough time filling in the hole in the wall and you would have to drill a new one. You would have to disconnect it from your furnace and re-install.

  3. Honestly,.. i worked in construction for years. It's best to call an electrician for what you want.
