  1. Hi, contrary to popular belief Canada will not take you with a criminal record.  They kept me out for 2 years because I had a reckless driving charge (not even a criminal act).  Most countries are the same way.

You also won't be able to just pack up and move overseas without a passport------this is where they stick your visa.

Sorry, but maybe you should just try a new city or even state and wait a few years.  The waiting time in Canada for rehabilitation is 5 years and then you can be granted a pardon and gain admission to Canada.

  2. Canada would be the best choice

  3. Dude...you have it backwards.  Only AMERICA takes in everyone.  Other countries actually check you out.

  4. I wish I knew.  If you find out, let me know.  I used to think Australia, but no, they've lost sight of their history and gotten more than a little fascist.

  5. With a criminal record, no first world country will accept you. Canada and Australia nor any of the countries of the European Union certainly will not. And many countries are closed to immigrants, like Japan and Mexico.

Maybe Pakistan or Afghanistan may take you. Or a private security company working in Iraq could use you.

Sorry but once you get a criminal record you are pretty well stuck in the country where you are a citizen. It is part of your punishment that lasts far beyond your jail term.

  6. No country accepts immigrants with a criminal record.  Can't think of even one that will allow you a 14-day tourist visa.  You cannot run away and hide.

For a fresh start, you need to create that right where you are.  Determine to live your life differently, forgive yourself for your mistakes, and start over.  Get a job, use your money wisely and rebuild your credit as you rebuild a better life for yourself.

Just think of all the people who have to rebuild their lives from scratch when a hurricane washes away their home and family, or a dreadful car accident that leaves them broken and they have to learn to walk and talk from scratch again.  If they can do it, stop feeling sorry for yourself, stop running away, and realize the advantages you have over some others in changing your life.  Face up to what you have created so far, and start doing things differently from this moment on.

  7. hey Shane id like to help you if possible mate.I believe everyone within reason should be able to have a chance at sarting fresh.email me at: whitetravla@yahoo.com.au    hope you reply soon John

  8. Sorry to say i think your stuffed as most countries won't let people with criminal records enter. Moving to get a fresh start is a great idea though and worth considering but maybe you should try a smaller move first as moving overseas is a major decision and shouldn't be taken lightly. Good luck with whatever you do
