I am from France, but currently live in the United States. I do not feel at home in the U.S. and wish to leave, but Europe currently is jobless. I am going to a traditional college of four years where I will be studying International Business and Chinese. I can use that degree for jobs such as International Trade Specialist, International Economist, Import/Export, etc. I've looked at the types of Visas on the Australian government website, and I am quite confused. Will my skill in knowing the language Chinese (because China is becoming Industrial) and the business market help me be a more attractive candidate to Australia? What can I do in these four years to make it easier for me to get Australia to accept me into their country and community? Thanks in advance!!

  1. Look at the Australian Govt website and find out what types / occupations we are currently looking for in migrants. It changes from time to time. At the moment we are looking for migrants but that could change at any time. If you obtain employment here before you leave, this would be a great help in getting the right type of visa. I would think your Chinese language skills would be useful because China is one of our biggest trading partners. Speak to someone at the Australian Embassy in Washington about what type of visa you would need, and how people go about obtaining that.

  2. yesssssssssssssssssssss more tourists hehehe sweet come up nth nsw i love tourists  HOT AS ACCENTS

  3. I don't think you will have trouble moving to Australia unless you have a criminal record. I think you have an advantage if you speak Chinese as the major cities here (especially Melbourne) have a large asian community. "The Australian government believes that new residents should be encouraged to learn as much as they can about their new country, its heritage, language, customs, values and way of life and to apply for Australian citizenship when they become eligible." Im not sure if you've visited this site: www.australia.gov.au. There is a link on that site that lets you read or order the LIfe in Australia book..it may help..also look at the information about how to settle into Australia. Not sure of any of this will help..good luck. maybe try to find out if the degree you will complete will still be relevant and recognised in Australia..

  4. Take a holiday here first as you may not feel at home here. Australia is not like Europe and more like USA every day.

Chinese is no advantage but very good English is.

Marrying an Aussie is the best way. I am going through my 4th divorce at the moment so maybe I will be available
