  1. The suburbs of Vancouver are nice.  We pay $ 96.00 a month for medicare  ( 2 people)  hospital is free  meds are based on income    see tourismvancouver   & hellobc

Are you an American citizen?Are you aware that you cannot just" move" to Canada...you can visit for up to 6 months, but not work or reside there without the proper visas. just want to be sure you know.  you can check out visa requirements at the site below...and a huge city like Toronto in eastern Canada is surely not going to be cheap to live in.

  3. Toronto and Vancouver both have really high costs of living.  If you want cheap you'll have to go to Montreal.

  4. Toronto has a high cost of living. You might want to check out St. John, New Brunswick. It's a smaller city that's much friendlier, and would have a lower cost of living.

    Generally the smaller cities are less expensive. Vancouver and Toronto are the most expensive, followed by Calgary.

  5. The cheaper places have a lot fewer jobs.
