  1. Yeah, good call, Denver is a great city, I just left after 17 years....heres some things to think about Denver...

    1. Denver is very expensive, the price of land and housing is going through the roof, but heres why, Denver is one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. Its a perfect mix of urban culture and mountain scenery.  From the heart of Denver you can be lost in the mountains in about 20 minutes.

    2. Denver is a major sports town, with the greatest NFL team on the planet, professional sports are a major caveat of Denver's culture.

    3. Denver is a very safe city, for the most part.  Compared to cities it's side throughout the U.S. a few seedy spots aside, Denver has a relatively low crime rate.

    4. Excellent schools-I graduated from CU Boulder about 45 minutes from Denver, great school, CU-Denver and Metro State College are also excellent options.

    5. Decent job market, Denver is growing leaps and bounds and job prospects are growing with it.

    6. Temperate weather, people think of CO as having major snowstorms and terrible weather, the truth is it's the most mild climate Ive ever lived in, sure we had blizzards and 100 degree days, but theyre rare.  I dont know where you live now, but it is very dry there, invest in chap stick.

    7. Mountain sports, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, rafting all about a half hour away.

    8. The Denver Broncos, reason enough.

All in all its a great young persons town, lots to do, lots to see, etc.  First step check the Denver Post online, look for jobs, apartments, etc.  Good for you for making a change, youre young, thats great, DO IT!! Youll be glad you did.

  2. I would take a trip out to Colorado and visit all the colleges, and see what you like. Actually, most of the larger universities in Colorado aren't even in Denver, they are in Boulder (University of Colorado), Fort Collins ( Colorado State University), and Greeley (University of Northern Colorado), but Denver has quite a few colleges too like CU-Denver, University of Denver, Regis University, Metro State College of Denver, and quite a few art schools to name a few. I would consider a major, then research the schools online first.

  3. get a job out there.  see if you can transfer schools.  get some money.  get an apartment.

hon, if you don't even KNOW where to begin, i would re-think the whole "move out to Denver" thing....
