I would like to move to Italy next year, but i dont know where would be best to go, ie town to rent somewhere cheap? Every website seems to have weekly rent not monthly... I also need to sort out a job over there, but i wouldnt mind just doing bar work til i find something there. Is there anywhere you would recommend to look?

Any info you can provide would be useful!

thanks =]

  1. Italy is an amazing place but if you don't speak Italian, I wouldn't recommend places like Rome. The Romans are really reluctant to speak in English and you'll find it's the same in any of the parts like Milan, Venice, San Marino, etc. I would recommend somewhere like Tuscany, Sardinia, Naples or Florence. They have so much British tourism in those resorts. The best thing to do in my experience is to find a place to stay for a fortnight and then find a job once you get there. Bar jobs should be ten a penny but remember that people who want to live there for a few months will usually go in the summer and so you'll have more competition at this time of year.

  2. hi..I'm italian and....I don't know what to suggest you...bwabwabwa...sorry...I think Sicily is a good place to move to.Here there are a lot of bars,pubs and restaurants expecially in summer and the tourism is huge, anyway..here you can find easily people who speak engish..and..surely..we are nicer than northern italian people..we are warm and friendly..they are cold and reluctant in front of strangers. I know it isn't a nice thing to say..but..it's just the truth and you need it, I guess...Finally....WHERE CAN YOU FIND A WEATHER AND A SEA BETTER THEN THE ONE WE HAVE IN SICILY?ahahahahahahahahahahhah.....

    so..good luck for your trip and...eat pizza, spaghetti, cassata, cannoli and ice creams(gelati) and go sight seeing as often as you can, expecially if you go to Sicily......bye..anzi ciao e buon viaggio!
