I want to move to London. Best area to live in?

Question

Someone told me that no-one can afford to live in the good bits of London. I went there a few weeks ago and was totally swept away by the atmosphere and I just wanna get out the north of Scotland.

I can't afford to live in somewhere like Soho but I don't wanna live in a dump like Shepherd's Bush. Anywhere else you can recommend? Council or private it doesn't matter.

camden is great. try richmond for just in and out of london at the same time. west kensington is something else.

when you ve had enough of london try bristol, that really is a cool city, it s safe (relatively) lots of gigs and clubs,going out for coffees in the day and friendly people, with a nice underlying community.

hey little dudette, if you is a hip and happening chick, the only place you must live is the angel, its a bit pricy but it is probably the best part of london, close to angel is highbury and islington and it is a lot cheaper than angel, both are a short bus ride or tube to the west end.

erm i dunno, im still with my parents, i dont really pay for anything so i have no clue but compared to otherplaces its ok, but them compared to otherplace its a little pricey, depends if you get a house or a flat and how big

edit: yeah i cant see you as a camden person, although its fun, but its more punky, druggy, kinda place >.<

have you tried somewhere on the outskirts, like kingston, or weybridge, ect

A great place to live is SW11 there are so many new beautiful apartments there right in the heart of london with a beautiful view
