  1. How is the scenery?  Gorgeous.  The housing is probably more expensive than in America if you live in America.

  2. I don't live in Paris, but rather in Normandy, but I can let you know what I know.

Housing in Paris IS expensive.  While the prices may be comparable to big cities in the US, people tend to earn quite a bit less compared to American salaries.  I would do a bit of research on your field of work in France to see what your income would be like.

The French school system is quite good.  I find that they truly leave the American system in the dust when it comes to subjects such as math and science.  They start languages far earlier than in the US (their first foreign language, usually English, starts with initiation classes by about 7, and they are seriously working on the language by age 10; they begin a second foreign language at age 12).

Paris varies quite a bit from quartier to quartier, so the scenery would really depend on where you are living.  It would be best to do some research.

There is crime in France, although I must say I feel much safer in this country than in the US.  Certain areas are safer than others, but this again is where the research comes in.

    Hope that helps!

  3. good bye

  4. Housing is expensive and comparable to New York City and somewhat less expensive than London.

French schools are excellant and the French equivalent of k-12 education is, in my opinion, far superior to that in the United States.

Paris is a gorgeous city if that's what you mean by scenery.

The crime rate in Paris, at least in the city proper, is very low by American standards.

  5. i think you can make it happen.

the only thing i know related to crime is that there seem to be a lot of troubles with Muslims vs. nonMuslims.  i've heard about riots in the news.

but otherwise it seems like a beautiful city and i'd love to live there so go for it.  =]

  6. And do you have a EU passport? If not your chances of moving to France are pretty slim, if not impossible. But we can all dream!

  7. I lived in France for two years then moved to NYC (USA). it is VERY expensive (more so than NYC). The schools are good, not the best in the world. the scenery is beautiful and the crime is not bad, but it is a big city, so there is some.

what do u plan on doing once u are there?
