Question:

I want to move to the UK for about a year or two for education purposes.. please help with some info?

I have a 2 year old son and I do not have a degree of any sort... where do I go to find out more info on this situation... and where is a decent place to live without paying too much, but living close to a city or in a city.... can I do this?

  1. Don't talk to Scottish men because they don't wear underwear and have a strange addiction in finding new ways to kill the Lochness monsters.


  2. In the UK you get alot of help if you are a single parent.

    For example, you can do many degrees from home for free, or if you go to uni you will get all or most of your child costs covered.

    Rent varies from city to city. Where i live, most one bedroom places are still a good £450 a month, but then there's a town not far from me where for the same price you could rent a 4 bedroom college! and the area is by the sea! Unofrtunately it's populated by mostly the elderly and chavs lol.

    I'm not sure what you are entitled to as you're not from the uk but chose where you wish to reside and then get straight down the local council and cab-they will tell you everything you need to know.

  3. Contact the University / College where you intend to study and ASK THEM about Student Accommodation (they will have lists of landlords etc - some places even run their own Student Flats or have 'Halls of Residence')
