  1. How old are you? To apply for a visa you need to be at least 18.

  2. Well depending on your nationality you would need to apply for a student visa. If you are considering staying a long period of time (unless you are a EU citizen) you are going to need a visa. You can get British citizenship after living in the UK for at least 5 years legally.

    Try visiting the following websites:

Offical website for the Home Office: http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukresid...

British embassy in the USA: http://www.britainusa.com/visas/showcats...

General website which is just good to navigate around and very helpful: http://www.workpermit.com/uk/uk.htm

  3. Age doesnt matter, the most important thing matters, is ur nationality., EU Citizens are allowed to live in UK for life & can move without restrictions, for other people its not that easy. If u tell us you qualifications & any specific skills you have then may be I can answer ur question more appropriately.

For non-EU citizens there are two routes to permanent stay in UK,

    1) Marrige to UK (or EU) citizen.

    2) Lawful employment in UK for 5 years.
