If by north you mean Scotland then Edinbrugh, Aderdeen, Elgin and Fife (not Methil) are good places.

If you mean the north of England than Newcastle, Durham, York and Darlington are good places.

The North part of the UK is Scotland,

Why don't you say North England?

Are you one of those people who only calls England, the UK?

You need to clarify where you mean, as others have pointed out.  North of the UK?  The Aberdeen is a city up north, and Edinburgh.  Edinburgh or Glasgow are probably your best places for the north of the UK job opportunities wise.

Its an amazing city with amazing people and incredible culture.

It also boasts wonderful housing etc.
