I want to name my daughter after my mom any ideas?

My mom passed away when I was 19 and I miss her. I wanted to name my daughter after her. She did not have a middle name and her first name was Janice any Ideas of names that go good with Janice? Would it be creepy to name my daughter after her?

If you want to name your child after your mother do it. It is a very sweet idea. I didn't want to dwell on this question because I always end up changing my mind so the first one that came into my mind was

Janice Denise

I honestly don't like the name Denise but I think together it goes well. I have seen at least 3 babies this year with the middle name Denise.. It is all up to you! Congratz on your baby girl.

Janice was a name popular in the 40's and 50's. While you'd love to name your child Janice, you need to think of your daughter's future. It's not a soft name when you say it, it comes out harsh sounding no matter how you say it. Plus, I think of the annoying Janice on FRIENDS. Why not use Janice as a middle name? The sentiment is still there, and you have complete freedom with your child's name. What types of names do you like? Classic names? Trendy names?

i don't think i would be creepy at all . i believe she would be honored. i wanted to name my daughter after my mom so i gave my daughter the middle name of Reanne.... which is mine and my moms middle name together. I think Janice Renee or Janice Marie are pretty. Good luck and congratulations on the new baby!!
