  1. Pinball, television with sports

  2. I figure four 8X4 dollar a game tables and eight to ten 4 1/2 X 9 hourly rental tables. Have a separate room for pinball and video games. Also a snackbar would be a good idea.

  3. First, you should do some research on the area to see if there is a market for pool players.  You should consider the competition in the area.  In my home town, there are 4 pool halls, so the market is far too saturated.  I would love to open a pool hall myself, but I would have to look elsewhere.  You may want to consider buying out an existing establishment.  Of course, you will want your business to make money, so you absolutely have to have a liquor license and quality staff.  Pool halls don't make the bulk of their money on pool.  It's mostly on alcohol and food sales.  I would recommend that you pick up a copy of Robert Byrne's book "Byrne's Wonderful World of Pool and Billiards".  There is a chapter early in the book about what Robert's "dream room" would be like and I fully agree with him.  He makes 23 suggestions which I won't elaborate on here.  Good luck with everything.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee
