I want to open a pub and call it "anywhere but here". What do you think?

I'm thinking "local pub" inside. Nothing to fancy, nothing trendy. And inexpensive...like beer and shots only, no fancy mixed drinks

I don't like the name because I would think that you could find a place better to go than to a place called "anywhere but here". It might be a warning in the name.

Cute if somebody calls but not really what you want your customer's to think if they want to go someplace.

"Hey let's go anywhere but here."?

"Ok how about Chi Chis?"

Or to be a bit more sophisticated "En Route".(I like that one!).

It kinda sounds like (Go) Anywhere but here.  Personally, I wouldn't go.  And it's not just because I'm underage.

i think its great...as a drinker, i would go...but its what inside that counts...that and the prices!

How about calling it "Out Drinking"?

It's perfect.  Keep it low key, have a good juke box and a spot for an acoustic music set up.  If you have to charge a bit more a few functional amenities do it.  I am talking a good computer and credit card tabs with swiping done at the time of order.    I hate small bars that don't take cards. This will also make keeping the hired help honest.   Maintain a decent pool table too.  You want to cater to low maintenance, high class people, not drunks.  Keep a good selection of low and high end liquors.  Having the overpriced stuff available will allow you to squeeze a few extra bucks out of those who want to pretend like their cool.

You are trying to attract customers. This is so negative.  Your could try "Yertiz" "Beinear"  Make it appealing, interesting. curious
