I want to open a stand at our local street market. Any ideas of something that's easy to make and profitable?

Oh!  That sounds like fun.  I would do something that is, say, bakery.  Maybe cookies.  Or muffins.  Or do bundles for 20 cents cheaper.  Or make cards.  I had a small, small business called Pineapple Cards for a while, and it was so fun!!  I got some orders.  And I saw this guy who carved wood and was really good.  Maybe something artsy is good for you.  And then there's always the helping out part.  You can offer tutoring to kids, or consulation of nutrition, if you know how.  Just do whatever you know how to.  Or you could make a garden and sell organic veges or fruit.  Or make pies or preserves with that fruit.  Then there's always the toys.  Get permission from some toy companies, stock up on some Webkinz and Slinkys, and go to town!!  Then there's always the beauty approach.  Get some more permission, and stock up on some Bare Esssentials, the best stuff in the world!!  Or create some lotions or perfumes with those kits you see at shops, and make people go "wow!"  Or you could create dolls for girls and carve cars for boys.  Or my friend's mom and my grandma make beautiful jewelry.  They are amazing!!!  You can buy real gems for low cost if you buy a lot.  Then string them with color-matching gems, and SELL SELL SELL!!!!

How about gift baskets?

For example pamper packs for special occasions such as bdays, batchelorette parties, new baby, etc.

Fill the basket with essentials (for example if it is for a new baby include things such as diapers, bottle, bibs, socks, etc and a gift for new mum too such as a bottle of lavender bath bubbles - something to relax her!).You can buy all the stuff real cheap if you do a little research and then sell the baskets on for a bit of profit!
