I want to order some stuff from a store online and i am using a gift car.?

I need to enter a credit card number just in case the cost goes over the gift card balance. When I enter the card will anything show up on that persons statement.

Yes, it will show up a cost that you can use on gift card & then you can put whats left on your credit card if you are to go over the gift card limit. I MYSELF usually just go online & see what I like & then just call the company with the gift card number & have my credit card ready if they need it. I think it's easier so that if there is any complications I can just handle it over the phone. Either way you choose to do it..Both ways work!

If you go over then, yes, absolutely something will show up on the credit card.  If you don't go over, it depends.  You might ask the company if they put a hold on the card for like $1 so they can charge it if the cost goes over the gift card.  If that's the case, the $1 will not show up on the statement, but it will show up if they look at an online balance or call for a balance.
