One thing to do first. Sort by season. Winter/fall and then a spring/summer. Or Warm weather/ and then colder weather. Now sort by pants, skirts, dresses, tops, bottoms. Sort each kind of thing by color, keeping shirts and tops together, bottoms together.

Some people put together whole outfits, and hang all of the items for that look together. Just depends on how you like to hunt for clothes in the morning.

However, I organize my cloths in a split. Dark to light on one side and light to lightest on the other side. My dark colors are black, brown, blue, maroon. my lights are light blue, pink, cream, off white, white.

This was assuming you meant cloths/ dresses.

If you meant accessories, putting them in similar order might work too. Hope that helps.

There is traditional oriental way of ogranizing colors. Colors should always be displayed in balance.

It should be like the rainbow. Start with Black then White (ying and yang) and then Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Navy, Violet.
