I want to paint my cupboards black, just wondering what colour walls should be? I'd love to have a colour!?

We have high ceilings, a olive green in the living room which you can see from the window. we're out in the country. Black appliances...i just need some inspiration, all the books i look at have white cupboards...blah.

how about a suede color, kind of tan with a touch of yellow

How about a rich brick red?  

My kitchen cabinets are dark (almost black), the walls are a brick red, and the adjoining hallway is an olive green.  Red is the complimentary color to green, so by painting your kitchen walls red, both spaces will really harmonize.
