I want to plant a vegetable garden?

I want to plant a vegetable garden for next year I know its too late for this year I also want to plant spices like parsley thyme, rosemary. How do I get this ready for next year and how do I do it? Any and all information will help thanks..

Where do you live.  Your climate is very important.  I live in the south and I keep awinter gaden.  Onions carrots lettace, potatoes ect.  Some plants want cool and are good to below 32 for short times.

Now is good time to begin working on the ground for your spring garden.  Start getting rid of grass and weeds that are growing in the space you plan to use.  Use this material to begin acompost pile.  Lweaves, grass clippings and the weeds you just pulled up can make acompost pile.  I sugest you begin reading now about com[posting.

do you have enpough light in the spot you want for a garden 8 hours of direct sunlight is minimal for a garden.  Some plants like melons require full sunlight from sunrise to sunset to make a crop.

Start reading and plan your garden for life time not just a young womans whim of the moment.
