I want to play Tennis?

I want to play Tennis, but my uni don't have a tennis club.. How can I learn to play tennis, play it regulary and meet people to play tennis with, when I don't have a lot of money? (I live in the Manchester area)

See if there is a tennis class at your "uni" or even at a local community college.  Its a great, cheap way to play tennis, and meet other people who play.

just find an area near you that offers classes. what about your school? join the tennis team...and you wont have to worry about anything any more. i prefer a wilson racket so i recommend that. and dont worry, just have fun!

Find a local tennis court, the ones in my neighborhood, there's a clipboard with dates and time schedules and you put your name in a slot and for what day and time you would want to play and then you just show up. Usually someone has written their name next to yours or you can write your name next to theirs. It's a great way to meet people.

Also when you are speaking with your friends mention tennis and you'd be surprised how many people have racquets in their closet or played in high school, etc.

Get a friend who plays tennis and go to the local courts.  It is that easy.  Unless, of course if you have no local courts.

so like have yu tried looking up wer yur nearest gyms are or sport centers are.. look for the cheapest  option?

Check with your local council.  There are public tennis courts you can book for reasonable rates.
