I want to play guitar in a style similar to John Frusciante's, what do you recommend I should learn?

Mainly what scales should I mainly know, what style of playing basically, fill me in please. :-)

i would just keep learning his songs all guitarists use a variety of scales if you want to sound like frusciante then keep playing his stuff because while you play it your going to incorporate and find little licks that he plays that you can incorporate to the scales that your playing. the scale obviously that frisciante is most famous for is the blues scales he has pretty much played a vast majority of his songs in the blues scale. His techniques pretty much are based off the melody. He is more about emotion that blazing speed. frusciante recently loves everything to be perfectly tuned. stuff liek that helps just put a lot of feeling into your guitar playing like he does make all your solos not neccesarily fast but quick and blues like with some distortion ro clean. PLAY ALL OF HIS songs and you will pick up his licks and styles mroe.
