  1. They'll probably put you through some throwing, fielding and batting drills.

  2. High school? not hard ... being 15 may be a set back and as long as u know the rules and have decent athletic abilities.

  3. I'm in the same situation. HS ball is INTENSE. You need to be in GREAT physical condition. I tried out last week and failed miserably due to poor shape, and the kicker is, I'm not really that out of shape. Baseball is serious business where I live and it is not taken lightly.

I recommend you run, a lot! RUNNNNNN! This will increase your speed and endurance. Don't worry too much about strength since you are a beginner like me (to HS ball, that is). Get the fundamentals down, have soft hands and a quick bat, and pray to god you make JV. if you make JV, you will gain experience and skills that will carry you up the baseball ladder.

  4. If you've never played organized baseball then it might be hard to make the team because you need time to get used to the pitch speed because in high school you'll run into pitchers with 80-90 mph fastball and you'll need to get used to the different pitch types such as the change up, curveball, and slider. Also you'll need to learn batting mechanics and you'll need to find out which position is best fit for you. Lastly you'll need to get in good shape by working out. It might seem hard but if you stay committed it will seem much easier.

  5. Going to make you warm up and see how fast you are by timing your running to certain bases. There also gonna see how strong your arm is. If you can pitch then they'll ask you to go on a mound and pitch so they   can evaluate you. They'll probably leave hitting to a separate tryout if they have more then one. On your last tryout then they'll get you to play a game of ball to see you in a game situation. Good luck.
