  1. u should look for another club...starting in spring is WAAAY too late...u loose valuable practice and team bonding time and most tornaments start in the beginning of feb...or earlier [or that's how it works in HI] :P so i would concider looking for a new club if its not too late! :D best of luck to ya!

  2. You have several options.

You can do jobs around your neighborhood.  You can baby sit.  You can see if anyone needs any other type jobs.  My neighborhood has a newsletter where the neighborhood children advertise different services.  They will house sit, pet sit, baby sit and run errands.  That will help.

You can talk with the club to see if they can help with the costs.  Clubs realize that they are expensive.  I work for a club in Houston.  They will help by creating things for the parents or the player to do.  Not formal work, just "you help me, we will help you" kind of thing.  I had one player that helped me by getting scoresheets during a tournament.  We also had a coupon book that they could sell to help with the costs.  Another club allowed players to sell advertising for the club program book.  (That is the book that the club puts together with all of the coaches and players info.  That is the book that college coaches grab whenever possible.  If anyone wanted to sell advertising, they got half of the money as a credit toward their account.)

You can try to find sponsors yourself.  Talk to some local businesses.  See if they can help out.  Check with your club first.  See if they will let you post anything from a company that helps you out.  If not, put together a nice picture of you in your club uniform and thank you note that the company can post in their location.  If they donate $200, you can afford to spend $10 or so and get them something nice to put in their store.

Good luck.  You have a tough jog ahead, but you should be able to make it if you work HARD.
