I want to play volleyball my next school year ,and i wanted to know the training i should start doing?

  1. Spiking, setiing, bumping, serving, rolling, and passing are all terms you need to know.

Conditioning for sure, but more importantly I would try to find some volleyball camps in your area to be involved in during the summer.  You need to get the basic volleyball fundamentals down so you will kind of know what to expect before you start.  If you can't find any camps maybe find an older girl that (that may be on the high school team) to see if she would be interested in giving you some lessons over the summer!  Good luck and most of all have fun!

  3. well, you should start running to strengthen your leg muscles and learn how to roll.

  4. actually, i also just started volleyball in my sec sch. on the first training, we are supposed to try to hit the ball. if you are right-handed, put your right hand below your left and and close both your thumb and clench it in. thumb must be pointing downwards. do not show too many fingers on the sides. if you are left-handed, vice versa. ask someone to throw the ball to you and you try to hit it with your wrist. do it 3 sets of 10. thats all. keep practice it.

  5. well def. run laps around a football field.

    practice your serves.

    wall jump.

    wall sit.! ( i hate it.!) (but it helps your thighs.)

    practice your jump.!!

    and practice your spikes.!

    Volleyball is fun and at the same hard demanding.

    Teamwork is the ultimate challenge. The team is important as the individual so you need to train hard and be dedicated in learning and practicing for a certain skill. Prepare yourself to be also injured since all athletes have experienced it at least once during their career.

    You will eventually know and understand the "terms" and type of "training" that you will have once start to make the sport part of your routine. There are so many terms and concepts to discuss and you might just get confused.

    Play volleyball and remember to have FUN.

    if you have a semi flat roof on your house go buy a volleyball and hit, hit, hit, hit against the roof. your coordination will get much better. it seems simple, but it works like crazy.

  9. the most improtant thing you need to lern first is passing and over hand serving all the rest you can learn later. work on running to strengthen your legs. do squats, sprints, push ups, lift weights, wall sits, wall jumps, shuffle step suicides, and fast feet under a net all help to train you for volleyball!!! but mainly start to lift weights to get arm power for when you do learn to hit and block and all the rest. contact me for me tips and information on how to play the sport better!!!     suicides

    lunges

    ballet

    and gymnastics (especially 4 ur arms)

    Another thing u can try is tennis : it helps u with ur hand-eye-coordination
