The bottom has some scratches and looks dry from lying outside. It's made of a kind of fiberglass, I guess. It's not wood or plastic anyway. Is there a product out there that I could paint on the bottom so it will last longer?

  1. I would use a quality Epoxy paint. Sand down the hull and wash and dry. If its bare fiberglass, you wont have to use primer with the Epoxy paint. Then give it a couple of coats of paint and let it "cure" for a couple of days. Save any leftover paint for "touch-up" when you scrape the bottom on rocks or whatever. P.S. Fiberglass is a plastic product.
