I want to pull 2 tubes behind a ski boat. Do I need a special harness or some type of Y rope?

  1. yes, you need a double rope.

You do not need any special tow ropes or harnesses.  I have multiple tow points on my boat so I connect each to their own, one on my ski pylon and one at the back of the transom.  I don't see why you would have to do otherwise even if you only have one tow hook on the transom or one ski pylon.

  3. nothing fancy needed at all. ive towed heaps of people and really all you need is for each tube to be on its own tow-line. a pole is handier as it allows the ropes with an eye splice to swivel on the tow pole and the lines run freely. if no pole they still run fine from a bracket or cleat as long as its reinforced. two separate tow points split the load although if they're too far apart it takes the fun out of it.
