I have done home school before so I pretty much know how it works. But now I want to start in the middle of a year and I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about doing it. I've always started off in the beginning of the year when I have done it before. Also I was wondering if anyone could recommend a curriculum because I haven't done it since middle school and am now a junior in high school so I'm not really up-to-date.

  1. The law says you must file an affidavid prior to the start of the school year.  So, technically it's up to the school board if they want to accept this NOW or not.  If not you have to wait til next year and file before August 1st.

That doesn't mean they won't accept it.  All you can do is try.

  2. I can't bellieve you would prefer homeschooling over regular school. the only Plus of it, is really good grades becuase of the one on one teaching. but if its anything like mine, then you dont learn any side classes, just the basics, I got expelled for a year, and need to get homeschooled untill next year. I can not stand it. No social aspects at all. sure you can sleep in, im just wondering what your views on homeschooling are if you would prefer it.

  3. I just started home schooling my daughter, and she was in the middle of the year.  I think a lot of what you have to do depends on whether you are doing it with or without support.  Check out this school site.  I cyber home school my daughter.
