  1. Well that is some kind of restriction.  It looks your beneficiary would be paid if you died of complete natural causes, with out the result of drugs or and kind of pending disease.

  2. That is not a general life policy, that is an accidental death policy.  Stay away from them, they are not good deals.

  3. The policy you have is a standard accidental death policy.  They are very inexpensive but that is because the chance of a covered death is minimal.

If you don't have a regular life insurance policy, please look into one.  Whether you need term life or whole life depends on your situation.  Talk to a good life agent that sells both types.  Otherwise, the agent will try to force you into what they sell.

Your question was what case would it be paid.  It would be paid if your death is the result of an accident.  Examples would be automobile wrecks, falling off a ladder, drowning, etc.  Anything that isn't excluded by the statement that you posted.

  4. What you are describing is an accident insurance policy with a lot of restrictions. The restrictions are normal and such policies are relatively worthless since the probability of accidental death is relatively low. If you are trying to protect your beneficiaries in case they lose you, you should buy a term life insurance policy, which covers death from any cause.

If you have children or a spouse who depend on your income for their livelihood, you have to decide how much money they should have if you die to sustain them until they can be self sufficient. That is the amount of insurance you should buy, and you get the most insurance for the  least money with a term life insurance policy.
