I want to purchase a punching bag need info about which weight i need. can someone help?

Okay so im not trying to get into boxing or anything i just want to purchase a punching bag for excersize. What i need to know is what size/weight bag i need unless it does not matter. I am a skinny 5'9 125-135 19 year old male. Thanks for the help.

I would say nothing more than 70 pounds, considering your weight and you're using it for exercise. I use bags that are about 50% of my own body weight.

I have one heavybag that I recommend to everybody is the PowAir Water Bag.  It can be purchased through www.ringside.com or www.titleboxing.com.  I've had mine for over 7 years and I love it.  It is 120 lbs but it is a short and compact bag.  It is only about 30-36" in length.  With sand-filled bags, the sand has a tendency to settle to the bottom, making the lower half of the bag like punching a concrete wall.  The water bag doesn't settle and has give to it, making it feel like hitting a person.  

I don't like the water bags with the foam liner.  They are too soft for my taste.  I like the regular waterfilled bag.  There is a warranty on the bladder too.  I guarantee you will LOVE it!!!
