I heard some leave brown spots on wipes or just dry them out.

  1. I personally would not get one.  They are a waste of money (easily costing about $20+) they are unsanitary (warm environment is a favorite spot for mold and bacteria!) they are a waste of electricity (you have to leave it plugged in all the time!) they can be a fire hazard and they dry out the wipes, sometimes even scorching them.  It can also be a startling experience for your baby when you use them out and about if your baby is used to warm wipes too.  He probably wont be happy!

I would rather have my $20+ bucks to spend on something else like a cute piece of clothing or something that he really needs like diapers, the wipes themselves or something else.  Generations of kids have been raised on "cold" wipes and have suffered no ill effects.  Its just a fad thing to get you to spend more money that you dont need.  Kids are expensive and you'll learn quickly to trim expenses here and there!!

  2. I wouldn't know, but it seems a little frivilous to me. Why don't you put the money towards an education fund for your baby instead.

  3. I was set on getting one when I was pg with my daughter but I found out through many "been there, done that" mommy's that they are a waste of money. First off, they produce mold and are not very sanitary (even the models that claim they are "mold-free" are really not. Also, will you be taking your wipes warmer with you when you go out and be plugging it in? If not, your baby will be very unpleasantly surprised when you go to use a cool wipe on him because he won't be used to it. I would spend the money on something more useful. Just my opinion.

  4. I like my Prince Lionheart wipe warmer. It has an insert that holds moisture and needs to be replaced every now and then but its worth it. The wipes dont dry out.

  5. I hated my wipe warmer and only used it once. It just sits in the closet now! It seemed to dry all the wipes out. I don't recommend it.

  6. I have the munchkin wipe warmer, I've never had a problem with it drying out ever but I really never use it that much either. It also has a little nightlight in it.

  7. Munchkin Deluxe Wipe Warmer is the one I used and LOVED it.. my son hated getting his diapers changed with cold wipes ( we were living in the basement of my in-laws so it got chilly-- it was fully finished)

  8. Do not make wearing a diaper a "warm" experience for your child or they will enjoy the experience which will help contradict getting out of the diaper.  Temporary diaper wearing is a must do and should not be a fun thing.

  9. :) Not sure, but I can honestly tell you it was the biggest waste of money. :) LOL.

Didnt matter to baby one way or another, the wipes dont get freezing - they will be the same temp as the home. :)

Waste of money and then I was always nervous about fire hazard - always a paranoia of mine. :)

  10. i had one but i never really used it it was a waste of money in my eyes and it will only be used at home unless u bring it with u whenever you go out so baby will have to get used to cool wipes as well so i wouldn't even bother getting one.
