I already have a homphone # does the fax machine work with my existing homephone # or it has to be a seperate line how does this work?

yes, it will work...... just get a splitter....its only a few bucks...!

but you have to set your fax on manual, not automatic, otherwise the fax machine will come on every-time someone calls!!
