  1. Make sure your kids are the ones who want to do this and you're not clinging on to broken dreams. This should be all about your kids right now! When you're sure this is their dream they want to pursue get them into community theater and classes. Google schools close to you or check out your phonebook. Your child's going to have to learn how to cope with rejection and be able to put up with all the hard work.

  2. What I would do is find out if this is what they really want to do first. Just because you want them to do it doesn't mean that they'll have the same passion for it as yourself. It's hard work, it's time consuming, draining (emotionally and physically) and can take away from their school studies or any other activities that children enjoy.

Second, if they do want too do it, start them out small in Theater at their school. See if they enjoy participating in plays and dance teams (maybe even pop choir) prior to seeking out an agent that can get them to the right places and make the correct connections. Getting into acting in the real world is hard. Which is why I would advise that you wait until they're in high school and are able to decide if this is what they really want to do.

  3. Why would you want to do that?

  4. ACTING IS DIFFICULT.

I wouldn't put my worst enemy through what I went through as an actress.

    Try Dance Lessons :)

    SERIOUS!

  5. hi. yes acting IS difficult, but rewarding. its all worth it when you actually do it onstage for an audience. i would start with community theater. thats best and are always looking for more people. acting teaches you perserverence. to keep auditioning and you will eventually get a part. it teaches you to follow directions from your director. it teaches you how to be comfortable speaking in front of a lot of people. you meet new people. adjust to different atmospheres of the play and its cast. it teaches you memorization. i love being onstage now, even though in my first play i had massive stage fright. community theatre could always use new people. think when they're older they can say- yeah when i was a kid i was in my community theater, i met lots of great people and had lots of fun!- it all pays off once you get onstage. all the hard work pays off, its a great lesson. people in thetaer tend to be more accepting too. i found what i want to do the rest of my life in my community theater. i wouldnt trade it for the world.

  6. Get in touch with professional theatres in your area (especially children's theatres) and find out if they offer acting classes for children.
