I want to put shelfs in my room with alot of electrical?

items on the shelf, but i have one plug, any ideas on what extensions or what i could so i could have them plugged in? i dont really want to see the lead?

  1. Use Wiremold.  It's available from any home center.  All you need is one set of feed wires.  The wiremold mounts on the surface of the wall, and gives you a receptacle every 8" or so.  You can cut it as long as needed, and then use the trim available to finish it off.  Hope this helps.


  2. Put a false back on your shelving unit, about 1" in from edge and hide all your wires behind it.

  3. get an extension with 4 or 6 sockets x

  4. they have some plastic or vinyl strips that are made to cover electrical wire that run down walls. They have multiple receptacle covers that plus into one outlet so you dont have alot of different strips. The strips that run down the wall end up looking like a strip of moulding..they do not look bad at all. It comes in different colors so it does not stand out. Below is a small pic of the moulding.
