I want to put something on plain rice. Chicken gravy or tomato sauce. Those are the only options?

gravy of course.. tomato sauce and rice don't mix too well with me.

I usually always put gravy but there are a few times , I just make buttered rice, it is very good. The only way I would make any of my rice tomatoey, would be when I make rice and stewed tomates, yum yum!

When I cook chicken or pork chops with cream of mushroom soup, I usaully put some leftover soup on my rice. Its pretty good.

You can use the gravy, or if you cook the rice with a little tomato sauce (actual plain tomato sauce not pasta sauce) and add cumin, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper you'll have spanish rice.

You could add butter and sprinkle it with Cinnamon.

chicken gravys good but so is just plain butter and salt to taste me salt a lot to taste..if you use tomato sauce dice up a few can tomatos.
