  1. First off, congratulations for WANTING to quit smoking!!

As far as answering, there are a lot of ways, and it also depends on how much you've been smoking. The best ways are slowly lowering your dose (takes a long time sometimes), or going cold turkey (which is faster, but harder). Either way, the last thing is making the decision to quit, so you'll eventually have to deal with the withdrawal.

For the most part, when you deal with withdrawal, you'll just have to tough it out, but there are some things that can help cleanse out the toxins and may help to minimize some of the effects of withdrawal...

Drinking water will help to detox, and taking some supplements that work as cleansers may help as well. Specifically, Apple Cider Vinegar, Green Tea (decaffeinated), Chlorophyll (fantastic cleanser), and even good amounts of fiber and water helps some people (although it's not very comfortable for the lower level of detoxification you get).

All that being said, it's likely that the symptoms should stop relatively shortly after your last smoke (it's never as long as it feels like it is). Your neurotransmitters don't take too terribly long to scream for something they are addicted to after you stop.

Another important thing to note is that no matter how bad it gets, taking more of the drug (and yes, nicotine is a drug) will only make the withdrawal last longer and will be harder on you in the long run. Good luck, and congrats again!

  2. Chantex is the best quit smoking drug out. Talk to your doctor about it. It help me quit with no problems

  3. chantex worked for me!!

  4. I quit cold turkey about 7 years ago. It's not to bad. I was really cranky for about two weeks and ate more than usual. But, after a couple of weeks I could tell such a big difference in my breathing. You'll feel 80% better once you quit smoking. Keep busy...

  5. Yes this is a hard one if you feel you have to go cold turkey!

I would suggest the self-help EFT approach.A Free download (manual) on how to do it, you can find below and is based on acupuncture WITHOUT the needles.

It worked for hundreds op people:-)

  6. Don't feel bad about not being able to quit through going cold turkey or by cutting down. These methods don't work because they give nicotine the power, not the other way around.  The vast majority will fail to quit using these methods.

Smoking is more of a psychological addiction than a physical one. If you really want to quit you must discover the reasons why you smoke and then eliminate or change these thought processes.

I personally don't trust any quit smoking method that deals only with physical nicotine addiction. Drugs especially because they have many side effects and are potentially dangerous. I wouldn't go near them.

All that you require is a bit of motivation, self belief and determination.

  7. Don't quit cold turkey. Slow cut back. That way you don't drive yourself crazy wanting a cigarette all of the time. You ween yourself off at your own pace. Then the following week you drop a little more. Until you are smoke free.

  8. i personally dont smoke but i know tons of people that do so my advice to u is dont do it cold Turkey slowly ween yourself from it and every time u get stressed or worried and think oh my god i want a smoke right now take a big deep breath and than slowly exhale it and it might come u or try biting on a cinnemine Cinnamonn u can buy them at the regular stor and the have the same efect as smoking!!

  9. If you want to try quitting drug free, try this.  Keep a sheet of paper in your cigarette pack and document every time you smoke.  Put the time, what you were doing, and the reason why you are choosing to smoke.  Find out the activities you do most often and change them/the time of day, etc.  You will also find that the reasons are really dumb too.  It helps when trying to break ANY habit, not just smoking.
